Jacqueline Knight is an Australian artist currently residing in Providence, Rhode Island.  Making contemporary glass sculpture, she is a glassblower, kilnworker and coldworker.  Just recently in 2008, Jacqueline received her MFA from Alfred University, New York State with a full scholarship and stipend and was also awarded an Ian Potter Cultural Grant (Aus).

Aside from teaching a glassblowing class in the Alfred University Summer Session, Jacqueline was a glassblowing instructor at Buck’s Rock Summer Camp in Connecticut.  She has been a TA at Pilchuck Glass School and Corning Museum of Glass and studied at Pilchuck on a Board of Trustees Scholarship.  For her BFA, Jacqueline graduated in 2002 with first class honours at the Canberra School of Art, Australia also receiving the Australian National University Public Art Collection Award.  She then was one of two Australians to be chosen for the highly competitive Jamfactory Contemporary Craft and Design Center program in Adelaide, Australia 2004 - 2005.  Jacqueline’s work can be viewed in New Glass Review, editions 29 and 27 and the book 500 Glass Objects.  She is currently teaching at Diablo Glass School in Boston and showing in galleries around Australia, China and the United States.
